This clock is referred to as a “Reeded Pilaster & Scroll.” The weight driven movement is wooden geared and will run approximately 30 hours on a full wind. It and was designed by Joseph Ives and features rolling pinions. This movement was thought to have been made sometime between 1821 and 1823. The case is mahogany and stands 37.5 inches tall. It is in excellent overall condition. The lower tablet is original to this clock. It does have some small areas of loss. The mirror is original to this clock as is the dial and frets. The returns are missing. This example retains its’ original wooden weight baffle.
