This is a wonderful clock in fine original condition. It stands 33.75 inches tall and is a very narrow 15.75 inches wide. Both of the reverse painted tablets are original to this clock and are in good original condition. Please note that the middle tablet does have a small crack in the lower right hand corner. The dial is painted on wood and is excellent condition. The florals are nice decorated. The smoke decoration and the guiding found on the columns and splat are in excellent original condition. The time and strike strap brass movement is designed to run eight days on a full wind. It is weight powered. (The photos were taken before the movement was overhauled.) The pasted label on the backboard can be viewed by opening the lower door. It has suffered some losses. This is a very nice example and was intended to sit on a wall shelf or mantel. We have also seen this form displayed on top of furniture.

This super clock in wonderful condition. It was made circa 1845. John Birge and Thomas Fuller shared a successful partnership in Bristol Connecticut from 1844 through 1848. They also made many steeple clocks with a large variation of movements.
