This is a French made Carriage clock that was most likely made circa 1925. The case is brass and has recently been polished and and protected with a lacquer finish. The case stands up on four turned brass feet. The long corners of the case are fitted with fluted columns. These terminate into the lower and upper platforms that are trimmed in an overlaid frieze. Mounted at the top of the case are the four turned finials and the decorative and useful carrying handle. Each of the five glass side panels are rectangular in shape. All the glass is in good condition and features beveled edges. The dial is porcelain. The time ring is formatted with arabic numerals. The dial is framed in a wonderful floral mask that is gilt. The movement has been cleaned and is in excellent running order. It retains it’s original lever platform. The movement is designed to run eight days on a full wind. It is a time only design. This fine clock measures approximately 6.25 inches in height with handle up.
